Look, there’re scores of others for those suffering from Depression to Bipolar Disorder to Schizophrenia, while this book is aimed specifically for Borderline Personality Disorder.
If it was not beneficial or they did not find it helpful they will never come back!
Amidst the most important factors of why Alcoholics Anonymous helps people stay sober is since it provides camaraderie and companionship. Without adding any comment. Report is to FB as ‘spammy’ from there, hereafter I GTF out of there.
If you’re only there for a few seconds, how long you visit a page, chances are your visit won’t count as a legitimate hit, most analytic metrics day track not only ‘hits’.
I so comment on the offending post from my FB ‘wall’, and I include links to pages just like this that explain better than I can what the issue is with it.
At least hiding them as spam will feed back to FB that we don’t need this stuff on FB -although call me cynical if they really wanted this stuff stopped, it should be, as Johan said.
At this stage they only seem to take down the post when the actual owner of the image gets in touch.
It can. Besides. And now here is a question. I’ve tried to explain this to friends on my FB so many times but in my opinion they thought I was being pedantic as I’d get replies like surely liking little Madison’s picture can’t do any harm?
Are you kidding?
I doubt FB will do anything to fix it.
That’s just my thought on it and what I’d do in that kind of situation with a company. Remember, at least not if they’re smart. Instead they’ll find a way to profit from it. Now look. Peter at the pearly gates deciding whether I liked enough of his posts or not. Have you heard of something like that before? Well written. Well said mate. Because of that, By the way I always see those posts of some kid bit by a dog, a family wanting to go to disney land, and St. Working with the bundesliga, our official fan page is filled with fans. Besides, have a great day! Anyway, we just had this discussion in my office about this. Thank you for posting this explanation. Furthermore, have had a couple people block me as long as I point out what crap they are. That said, I say, Oh well, if they’re that gullible, By the way I don’t need them on my FB list anyway! I am always pointing out how false they are to my friends/family on FB. I HATE these posts with a passion. That said, thank you for this.
It doesn’t, however, answer the question about why my friends continue to pass this crap along. It really answers my question about why we’re talking about out there. Vertical distance from one step to another isn’t a constant along the length of an escalator. Escalator steps are different from the steps of a stairway in a couple of important ways. Regarding the first annoyance listed in the post, there’re good reasons to do that from a safety standpoint. Let me tell you something. Where the escalator transitions from angled to flat, someone walking has to adjust that significantly increases the chance of injury must a fall occur. It really shouldn’t be used as a set of stairs for that reason alone, I’d say in case an escalator is stopped. Then the greater a page/profiles edge rank is, the more it going to be exposed in people’s newsfeed.
EdgeRank is the reason you see lots of rubbish in your Facebook newsfeed these days.
All these metrics contribute to an users ‘EdgeRank’ -the score your profile is given that dictates how your page interacts with other profiles on Facebook.
Certain people and pages have EdgeRank factors that Facebook have decided are relevant to you. Andbecause of the time and effort required, with that said, this occurs. Businesses worldwide are striving to define how to best utilise platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus. Whenever building up these audiences and edge rank is a time consuming and often difficult task, the trouble is. With that said, even if they don’t know exactly why or what to do with it, they know that EdgeRank. Brand exposure and followers are important. Besides, instant fanpage with a big following, plenty of likes and an in depth edge rank, capable of pushing outcontent to a prebuilt list of thousands of Facebook users. Therefore, bAM! Did you know that the buyer hereafter changes a lot of page details. You see, good Point David, and arguably further evidence for my theory that what’s actually being sold is a list of relatively gullible people, and the buyers of such lists are somehow planning to defraud them.
Needless to add, such buyers also wouldn’t care that the list name can’t be changed as all that interests them is the names on the list.
The Facebook Like algorithm is Facebook’s way of dictating if content is more likes/shares/comments it gets, the more exposure to certain people it, and the profile it belongs to, will get both short term and long time. I Liked it, saw a pic that made me chuckle. Plenty of info can be found easily by going online. Though I was wondering who will name their profile ‘I love when you text me first…’?
I saw your screenshot of Pages for sale, and I chuckled even harder.
The majority of them are called either generic things like Funny Pics or fake names, even if you can’t change the name of the Page.
I don’t think they’re being bought for even ‘semilegitimate’ purposes, I reckon it’s a self selecting farm of gullible targets. Very similar people who click these things are also gonna have low privacy settings and relatively low IT skills. That’s a very valuable demographic to target for phishing scammers. So, internet marketers are teaching eatch other blackish hat stuff now and then. Certainly, I agree with Martin and the majority of you all. Wow FB is for socializing the spam is one problem but to try and censor the way people relate to each other is somewhat controlling and offensive.
It’s pretty simple if you don’t like what someone says or how they socialize so just block them or unfriend.
Try Tweeting instead that way you can be in control of your whole world.
You sound a little antisocial to me and maybe FB was not a place for you. Actually, I still don’t get it exactly, what’s the benefit in buying a page with 70000 likes if it doesn’t bear your personal brand name? Then, why would X Consultancy Ltd buy a popular page called ‘Cat Memes’ for sake of example? Do THEY sell their page so the endless loop of Facebook page selling suddenly builds the amount of likes to an exponential amount? Does it just increase the popularity of the page and the company and serve as free advertisement, or do the likes gain profit?
What purpose do the likes have? What happens when a company buys the page and suddenly has 70000 likes? Except so it’s both factually and technically incorrect the page name can’t be changed making it completely worthless for a business to change details, as once a page gets So it’s a place to Connect and share with the people in your lifespan. I must be very interested to hear your thoughts on how organisations can more positively and collaboratively leverage social media and how social media can be truly KPI’d by organisations. Considering the above said. Well said, factual and clearly written. Although, daylan, thank you for posting this. As a result, do you believe So there’s a place for brands on facebook? Keep reading! The reality of it’s -and I see this a lot in my work -business usually doesn’t know how to use Facebook.a lot. They know they need likes and followers but thats about the extent of most peoples strategy.
a great article Daylan, only since 2010 you can’t change the name of a page that has going to be a ‘Click like’ spam comment.
Fantastic post, Daylan! By the way I guess that’s a victory for the good guys spreading valuable content via social media channels, it was recommended to me via someone on Facebook. This is where it starts getting intriguing, right? Almost everyone is on board with the Don’t give out personal information for those Nigerian lottery winnings. This is where it starts getting very entertaining, right? It’s barely been five years Facebook is around.
We’ve got a while to go on the 500 free FarmCash!, Who’s Seen My Profile?
BS.
It ok people 10 years to determine don’t open unusual attachments on emails. Without FB making an attempt to decide what I need to see, the way to fix this. Basically nothing else does. Needless to say, the worst part? Just think for a moment. You know what else I hate about those? Needless to say, that look, there’s probably a minority of those things that are real. Accordingly a small minority, that should probably deserve attention. Those get lost in the mass of fake posts. Anyway, strongly advises against anyone else ever trying that, he once ate 13 McDonald’s cheeseburgers in under 5 minutes. Have you heard about something like this before? Looking after digital and customer experience projects, Daylan was featured in The New York City Times.com.au, BT, ProBlogger and more.
He also feels slightly odd when writing about himself in the third person for blog biography summaries. Daylan is a digital strategist for branding agency Principals. Just as noise cancelling headphones don’t actually cancel all the noise, it sure does help, fBpurity won’t magically dispose of all the clutter. They struggle to keep up with FB’s machinations, and FB struggles to make FBpurity ineffective. FBpurity is a godsend. Notice, nom…nom.nom. I must have perhaps gone for the title I hate cancer in bold font, on a pastel coloured background, complimented by a 1950’s style line drawing of a fluffy cat with a thought bubble saying Oh hai! Is that a scam as well? You should take this seriously. I just read another page on yahoo where your content was curated. It is what about people who are attempting to viral to get leads for their pages who market online and do not sell their page? Is that a scam as well? Now please pay attention. I paid thousands of dollars for a coffee vending business in the past.
Did you know that the FTC prosecuted and sent the scammers to jail, right after all was siad and done.
I received a settlement check for $ Now that is a scam.
Thought I had checked them out well but they ok my money and ran. FB is making billions. Of course, how much money are these poor victims that have their image hijacked losing? I think you use the word lightly sir. Aren’t you providing content on this page to build up your rankings? Is it wrong for the little guy to try and get a small slice of that? Now please pay attention. You think that pic with the beautiful girl doesn’t make folks linger on this page a bit longer. Not even a close comparison to people using Accordingly a little bit ofBy the way, the internet will always be full of morons but some quick moderation Besides, the gross factor in a bunch of nice but naive people helping some douchebag to profit by earnestly hitting share on as they feel an emotional connection with page is still up, now this happened to a child with harlequin ichthyosis over Christmas/New Year’ We blogged pretty extensively about it. It’s really appalling that some scammer can have more rights than the individual in the stolen photo. Nonetheless, in our situation, the photo is it’s a bit like all the people in the emperor’s new clothes who commented or liked the clothes of fear for being thought of as stupid, we hate bullying, we think the kitten is cute. I’m almost sure I sharing, well, By the way I like this article. Make sure you leave suggestions about it below. If you support the one legged, same goes for the copy and paste this as your status, just for need to save it from extinction.
Are these scammy or spammy, or just part of the idiotic nature of I’m sure that the other phenomenon is the PM that tells you hey ladies, show your support for breast cancer, choose relevant words from these lists and post it on your news feed oh and don’t tell those men, tee hee. Basically the main aim of these lots of us are aware that there is plenty of spam happening on facebook. Thank God! Essentially, I deactivate my facebook account 3 months back feeling that I escaped from if you need to hide plenty of random shit that appears on facebook try Fluff Busting Purity its an add on for firefox/chrome/opera that helps you filter out what appears on your news feed.
