From interviewing Cassie, By the way I learnt that she has a real passion to work in mental health services. With their lives and be proud to do so and follow their dreams and make a change to the world, it also makes me think that people can truly know what they need to do.
It’s known as very good nursing schools in the country and has very good university unions, The University of Leeds, appealed to her as long as it has an ideal reputation. So it’s also close to her family. Cassie is studying at the University of Leeds. Then the campaign should be taken national across the country with mental health UK as student mental health charity. Yes, that’s right! All the positive feedback she got from the campaign and all the people involved just like the Time to Change campaign and the Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation trust. Starting up the support group and the campaign ‘The Elephant in the Room’ is a really good accomplishment for Cassie. All the hard work that was put in to the campaign, paid off and they have been nominated and short listed for an award.
Cassie wants to be able to change as many people’s lives as she can and the system for people who experience mental health problems.
By helping them to be able to cope, every individual has alternative path, and this doesn’t necessarily mean them getting back to how they where.
It’s a well-known fact that the patients are being supported in the way they need, she wants to improve the system, to it should take up a bunch of her time and that she doesn’t get loads of money for it, and it can be very stressful and loads of work involved, despite the fact that Cassie enjoys working on her placement.
It wasn’t a positive experience for Cassie, and she didn’t look for anybody else to go through what she went through, to feel the way she was made to feel.
Cassie was very open talking about mental health. Fact, she personally ld me that growing up she struggled from a mental health issue. As a result, when she was 18 she was under the care of a community mental health team. I am Stephanie Roberts, To be honest I am a pupil at EACT Leeds East Academy in Seacroft, and I am currently an intern with the Communications and Engagement Team. It’s a well my interview with Cassie is part of a series which aims to raise awareness of different roles within Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
With the difficulties she has faced along the way, cassie is proud of getting to where she is now. Another thing is that she is proud of the fact that she can go homeward on a night and feel like she has made a difference to people’s lives after being on placement. That’s a fact, it’s loads of hard dedicated work 50 of the work is a full scale placement and the other 50 is in university. She loves it and couldn’t see herself doing anything else, It is Cassie’s dream to train as mental health nurse. We all have mental health -some people’s mental health can be difficult for them to understand. Essentially, any individual has to look after their own mental health, as we all have different needs and ways of coping.
to study mental health nursing at the niversity of Leeds you should better have 5 GCSE A -C. I’d say in case you are doing a ‘B TEC’ you should have 3 distinctions, Health and Social Care, You also need to have 3 Alevels at grade B, in Health and Social Care. You can also get on to the course through having life experience. Cassie went to college and did a B TEC in health and social care. With all that said… Plenty of people decide to go in to mental health, as they get older. So that’s being that they have a better understanding of mental health, either through a personal experience or witnessing someone suffer from a mental health issue. To be a qualified nurse you will need a degree. Generally, while housing or both, so this could be them getting a job.
Then the public are begging to have an increased awareness and understanding of mental health, however So there’s still lots of work to be done.
Employers need to make adjustments to cater for peoples’ different needs if they are ill.
Rather than an illness and that people need loads of people have a negative attitude and so it’s since how the media has portrayed mental health in a negative way. Undoubtedly it’s difficult for people who suffer from a mental health issue to be treated fair and equally, than any another illness. Whenever working as a nurse under supervision, are what Cassie enjoys, gaining and learning new skills and experience whilst being on placement. Furthermore, rather than sitting in a class room, it pushes her to get a better understanding of the people she will work with and what the job is like.
